The Belgian Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye was founded by Izzet AKOSMAN, Afif TEKTAŞ, Willi MARGUERY, and Gabriel COUTEAUX in 1926 with the aim of supporting economic, commercial, social, and cultural relations.
At the Ordinary General Assembly held at the Consulate General of Belgium in Istanbul on 16 April 2009, after receiving the power of attorney of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce from the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce, the name of our Chamber was changed to the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye.
The Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye supports Belgian and Luxembourgish companies established in Türkiye to develop trade and industrial relations with Türkiye. Our Chamber also supports Turkish companies wishing to operate in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The Belgian Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye is a member of the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce (cci.be).
To promote the Belgian-Luxembourgish-Turkish Businesses, trilateral trade and investment by supporting and defending the interests of our members.
The mission of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye is to develop friendly relations between Türkiye, Belgium, and Luxembourg, help develop ties in all subjects in the economic field, and encourage the actions in these fields.
The primary objectives of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye are;

Hans Broucke (1964) is a Belgian national and graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain in 1986 as Master in Applied Economics. His banking career started with ING Bank in Belgium. In 1993 he became Head of Corporate Banking at ING Bank Czech Republic based in Prague. In 1998, he joined the Executive Committee of ING Bank Ukraine based in Kyiv. He joined Fortis Bank, later to become part of BNP Paribas, in 2003 as responsible for Business Development Commercial Banking with specific focus on CEE. He became General Manager of Fortis Bank Czech Republic in 2005 and Country Head of BNP Paribas Czech Republic in 2008. Between 2012 and 2017, he became Country Head for BNP Paribas Bulgaria based in Sofia.In 2017, he was appointed Head of Corporate Banking and Member of the Management Board of Ukrsibbank Ukraine. In August 2020, he was appointed as resident Board Member of TEB A.S.

Turgut joined the Nestlé Professional family as a sales chief, established Vending operations all over Turkey as the Channel Sales Development Chief after working as a sales chief for 1 year.After managing the sales organization as Vending Sales Manager in 2007, he led the team that manages the 'investments and service operation of coffee machines', one of the most important business line at Nestlé Professional, as Technical Operations Manager in 2010. After establishing the Channel Category Sales Development department at Nestlé Professional in 2013, Turgut managed the marketing and technical operations teams as the Beverages Business Unit Group Manager in 2016. Turgut, who contributed to the company by playing important roles in the company's 15-year growth journey, also signed many 'best practices' with his teammates.Ahmet Turgut joined Barry Callebaut Turkey in 2019 as Gourmet Sales Director, after 15 years of experience at Nestlé Professional, which he gained by taking important responsibilities in different roles and positions. Turgut, who restructured Barry Callebaut Turkey's gourmet team and led the implementation of the gourmet strategy until 2021, assumed the position of General Manager of Barry Callebaut Turkey as of November 2021.Ahmet Turgut is married and has two children.

Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership positions across various industries. She began her professional journey at Demsa Group, where she worked as Business Reporting Analyst Director from April 2004 to May 2006. Following that, she served as Legal Advisor at Technogym Turkey from 2006 to 2013, while also holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Board at Galata Transport, a joint venture with Albini Pittigliani, from 2006 to 2014. In 2016, Arzu took on the role of Legal Advisor at ACS, where she worked until 2017. From 2017 to 2018, she served as General Manager at Luxaviation Private Jet, and then as CEO at Entertainment One from January 2018 to August 2018. Arzu then became Managing Director at Global VIP Health, a position she held from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, she joined Çaltekin Legal & Trust as Managing Partner, where she continues to serve. In 2023, she took on the role of Vice Chairman of the Board at HRD Antwerp Turkey, where she is currently active. Her experience spans diverse sectors, including business reporting, legal advisory, aviation, entertainment, healthcare, and logistics, where she has contributed to the development of strategies and processes aimed at improving operational performance and ensuring legal compliance. At Demsa Group, she led the business reporting function, working closely with the chairman to provide insights and data to inform decision-making. As Legal Advisor at Technogym Turkey, she supported the company on corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. In her capacity as General Manager at Luxaviation Private Jet, she managed operations, focusing on strategic growth and adherence to industry standards. Throughout her tenure at ACS and Entertainment One, she provided legal guidance on corporate law and strategic business decisions. As Managing Director at Global VIP Health, she played a key role in driving business expansion and improving client satisfaction. At Çaltekin Legal & Trust, she manages operations and legal services with a focus on corporate and trust law. Additionally, In her current role at HRD Antwerp Turkey she supports the board in overseeing the strategic direction and governance of the organization. Arzu Özer is also a mother of two children.

Read moreThe accreditation programme is the result of an intensive collaboration between the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce, the umbrella organization for all Chambers of Commerce in Belgium.
The accreditation programme aims to outline the main principles that Chambers need to take into account when fulfilling their mission:
● a corporate governance structure allowing to run the Chamber in a professional way and not subject to personal interests
● a professional way of working assuring continuity and offering a consistent range of quality services and activities;
● synergy with the Luxembourg authorities as well as the federal and regional Belgian authorities, which defend and promote economic and commercial interests of Luxembourg and Belgium.
By granting an accreditation, the Federation and the Luxembourg Chamber want to give a clear sign that the Chamber is a reliable partner for helping companies with their international expansion.
